Last weekend there was a car show at Hills Shopping mall in Kuching. It was a two day event, but I only managed to catch it on the second day, Sunday. There were a lot of local (not really local, but JDM) cars. What I was more interested this time was the exotic ones. But because there were so crowded, It was really hard to shoot them properly, and it didn't help that it was raining.Read More

The actual event started on Satuday (26th November), but the Ducati Multistrada's were already arriving on 24/25th.
I have heard about the event from Dennis (an avid biker) then Sherrie tagged me shared link on my facebook page. And I contacted Chloe who had more details about the event. After which I finished by stuff for the day and went to see the bikes before going to the ICT fair, which also started that day. Below are some photos which I took that afternoon.
The escort cars.
The bike was bigger than I anticipated.
This seems to be an another model from Ducati.
Is it me or does the bike look like a kind of bird with beaks?
So after taking a few snaps, I paid my RM 4.00 parking (at Merdeka Palace Hotel) and headed to BCCK for the ICT Fair. Got me a 16GB USB3.0 thumb drive for RM 67.00.
In the evening, I went to pick up Sherrie, who incidentally stays nearby my house. I got lost going to her house. Then got lost again when heading towards the Astana. Traffic was slow and in the end we got there late. =.=
Below are some of my photos from the Astana, where dinner was hosted by our Yang di-Pertua of Sarawak, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin.
After the makan makan session, came the photo taking session :)
The head lights profile is very VERY nice! Wished I had more time to capture it.
Moving off to another part of the Astana for a photo session.
Hmmm orange? Its due to the yellow cast by the ambient light. When I did the standard color correct it become orange hehe !
Yup, color correction got the building white but the left bit of the photos become too "cold". heh~
One of the bikers showing Sherrie the meter cluster. =)
Mingle around for a bit before leaving.
Shot this from my car. When we left, the bikers also decided to leave.
Even police also was driving a Ducati Multistrada ^_^ wow.
We all turned in early as the next morning the actual flag off event was around 8am.
For more information & details on the event head to http://www.smf.net.my/ and don't forget the ongoing contest for RM 500 worth of Ducati mer chandise, will end on 9th Dec 2011.
