Nikon Club Advance Users gathering

Nikon Malaysia recently started something new to engage their customers. Maybe to have closer feedback and I guess to have more interactions amongst its users. This was the first time it was held in Kuching. My friends in Miri already attended one session, few weeks ago.

Our session was held at Merdeka Palace Hotel on 11th May 2013 at a staggeringly early 830am. Davy called me at 830am wanting to confirm the venue. I was still in bed!

To cut the story short I arrived ten minutes after nine. To find room of about 25-30 photographers, enthusiast and professionals.

I was in Penang Part 2

So after our brief stop at the old train station at Butterworth, we headed back to the island for some Penang Laksa.

Now after a nice spicy bowl of laksa we headed off to another location in town. To meet up with more people for a group photo session. Walking about and shooting and stuff. It was fun for me. As I really love street photography. Even more so when with a bunch of awesome people.

G+D PreWed Photos

This shot happned AGES ago, almost coming to one year already. How time flies. Anyways I have been meaning to process these photos for awhile now. But never really got around to do it. But since my iMac died the other day. I was archiving my stuff and I came across this set of photos. So I processed them and decided to share them out my way. These photos were also edited and printed already by George, but I guess I want to do another set my way. This was my second time doing a pre-wedding shoot since 2007. This was shot end of October last year.

Dark updates

Its been 2 years now since the shooting. I often visit back these photos and pick one and edit them and publish.

This is my latest work.

I especially love this shot. Because we got it on the first try. Subsequient tries resulted in failures.  I would say the photo is almost original save for the color tint, crop, and slight edit to the feet to give it a more erree effect.

Sometimes we get lucky on the first try. I will try to pubish more photos within this year. =)

Anyways for the rest of the photos can be found here : Gallery.

Portraits of Vanes

I actually shot Vanes in KL few months back when I went to catch GRA. Yes, its been way over due, but its year end and I'm just trying to balance the books (published photos =)) I still got heaps of old photos have not published!

You would probably notice that the photos are smaller in size compared to my recent posts, that is because I have completed this album for a while now before I decided to upsize the images.

This was the lucky car that was getting a wash from the lovely Vanes. Its smiling.

We managed to secure an actual carwash for the shoot. Thanks to Mickey's friend for the place. He lost a whole day of business just for us!

It was the first time I tried to use constant lighting. Kinda challenging, and the color tempreture was pretty warm. Which looked fine on the camera LCD. Maybe I was just not used to it.

I know what your thinking, bubbles! Mickey brought along his toys. A bubble making machine! How cool is that, no more blowing or waving things about to make bubbles.

Cool car with beautiful lady add on special effects.. haha !

We had constant lights everywhere. Something different from our usual shooting.

Mickey not only brought along the bubble machine, he also bring the smoke machine! No need to edit it in!

Time to wash the car! hehe!

After washing the car another monster car came in, the Nissan GTR34. Because of wind we closed all the shutters of the shop to play with the smoke. End up it was everywhere, making the photos look as if it had high noise, when actually it does not =.=

Well it was very fun experience. With so many TOYS and such a professional model to work with. Hopefully I have more chance to work with Mickey and friends soon.
