Gawai, Bengoh Dam, and orang utans
Its been many years since I went to any kampung for to visit during gawai season (harvest festival). But this year I went up to Kampung Bengoh. It was a smooth 30 mins ride from Kuching to the kampung of a colleague.
Here are a few photos of the trip.

Kampung Bengoh is actually quite well known for its Bengoh Dam and issues with the resettlement scheme. Which seems to be coming to and conclusion soon (hopefully). Anyways we managed to get inside and have a look.
After the visiting the dam, we headed towards Kuching and along the way decided to detour to the Forestry Wildlife Sanctuary at Semonggoh. As it was nearing 3pm, the orang utans feeding time.
Arriving I was a bit surprised that there were so many people there, locals and a lot of tourists. nice.
It was quite a fun trip. getting out there seeing the scenery of our local places of interests. Super tiring because it was hot and humid that day.
Well thats all.
