Emblems and other bits
Last weekend there was a car show at Hills Shopping mall in Kuching. It was a two day event, but I only managed to catch it on the second day, Sunday. There were a lot of local (not really local, but JDM) cars. What I was more interested this time was the exotic ones. But because there were so crowded, It was really hard to shoot them properly, and it didn't help that it was raining.
Sometimes you really wonder what are all these people doing. What are they shooting and what are they going to do with the photos that they shoot. They rush about, pushing others away, stand in front of others and basically being rude. Okay okay, no rants. See pics...
Of course there were many show girls there, ten I think. I did shoot a few (less than 8 shots), but it has always been my feeling that the cars are beautiful enough. If the show girls were around, its a distraction for me. And I'm sure for many other people.
Overall I think it was a decent enough show, seemed to attract quite a number of crowd. But there were no control once the barriers holding back the PHOTOGRAPHERS were broken. Everyone was everywhere, people were touching the cars, some even knock on it to see if it sounds different. Thats why I do not want to put my car in autoshows. Local people dont understand the concept of no touching.
