86 before launch
I was fortunate to have friends whose working in the industry and I got the opportunity to go to Sepang Circuit and also witness (document) the behind the scenes of the launch. These photos are taken before the cars were fully detailed.
I guess its another plus to have the cars to shoot without so many other media present, which I will show in the next posting on the following days event.
The cars were being checked (scrutinized) by the Toyota engineers for the performance for tomorrows hands on my the automotive media.
So after all the testing and checking was completed it was already quite late in the evening. The sun was setting fast I took a few more shots, and we all headed back. And I got to drive the 86 back to the paddocks for detailing. Short drive, SLOW drive, still cool nevertheless.
I was so tired that I went off some where to rest and charge my SGS which was running low of battery. I think I dozed off. Then I helped to move the cars about. Parked the cars nicely. Anyways here are some photos of the detailers working thru the night.
Around that time it was almost 11pm. So we left as the detailers continued on thru the night.
It felt like a long day, even tho it was only an afternoon. More excitement on day 2, the actual launch of the Camry and 86.
